The Patch
For those of you who don’t know, I smoke. Or I used to? I don’t know. It’s been three days on this shitty adhesive and it seems longer than the 7 years I have smoked. I also find out tomorrow who got the job I wanted. (I don’t really know if I didn’t get it or not.) Stress is eating me alive. Any ex-smokers with advice?

There was this advert back home where they showed the smokes as pouring out fat. Like the fat you see in the bottom of a pan after a few days. So when I quit that’s all I thought about when I wanted one and that instantly put me off.

just remember the cravings will pass in a few minutes. and try putting the money you would normally spend on them in a jar and see how quickly it adds up. and remember how bad cigarettes smell on people. i’ve been a non smoker for 20 months now

When I gave up, I tried my best to sleep through the couple of weeks that it was intolerable. It helped.
